What can you do
to help?
VOLUNTEER
Events
- Would you
like to help out at one of our events like the Annual Walk. You could volunteer to
help prepare for the walk by getting volunteers to walk,
mailing walk information, posting signs about the walk, or
contacting possible donors. Or you could help the day of the
walk, putting up route marker signs and giving out water.
- Or would
you like to start your own event and donate the proceedings
to LifeTies, Inc.? Please do not hesitate to ask for a
speaker to talk to your organization, or for brochures to
distribute to those interested in our programs.
- Would you
like to organize a one day project? Volunteers are welcome
to plan a day to paint, or plant flowers and landscape the
beds. The Triad office is in dire need of an Extreme
Makeover.
Office Assistance
- Would you
be able to help us label and mail out our newsletter or
annual appeal? This type of volunteer work is on a project
basis but would help us get out material on a timely basis.
Volunteer to work with
the teens
- Do you
have any skills you could teach the residents such as
sewing, knitting, quilting, music, cooking, baking,
photography, and yoga?
- Would you
like to share your home decorating skills and make a
resident’s ideas on individualizing their own room a
reality?
- Or would
you prefer to work one on one mentoring or tutoring?
Individual assignments are under the direction of each
program director and some training is required.
